'At last...a love letter comes North'

A young woman is pleased to receive a love letter. It has taken a long time to get there - that's because it came pigeon-post. A verse of a poem by Caithness poet, John Horne (1881-1934), is written on a vase of forget-me-nots:

'Fain I remember thee, think of thee, dream of thee, brave is my love of thee, nursed on thy loam.'
