'Green-fingered'
A woodland moment. A collie startles a bird into flight, but neither of them interrupts a young woman's reverie. She blends quietly into the greenery - even her arms are leaflike. In one gloved hand she holds a sprig of wild vetch, in the other her fingers are growing into flowers. She wears a diaphanous dress - delicate as insect wings. To her left two white butterflies flit about. On a leaf is a quote from Charles Rennie Mackintosh: 'Art is the flower..life the green shoot'. On another leaf are words all meaning 'green'. A picture of pure whimsy.
A diptych of pastels.
