'Midsummer. When posies become bouquets'
Nature is now at her most fruitful. The wildflowers are high - their colour and scent attracting a couple of butterflies. The figure is languid in the heat. Around her, a Songthrush carries a buttercup, a Blackbird carries his note, and a Chaffinch feeds her fledglings. The scene is hot and unhurried. The Summer days seem to stretch on forever.
