'The Bird Whisperer'
A tearful girl is holding a shoebox. Amongst the carefully placed balls of cottonwool is a lifeless blue tit. She was sure she could save it, but Fate has intervened, despite her best efforts.
Tulips that were once splendid and sprightly in a vase, are now spent and dying on drooping stems. But other flowers are blooming - a large lily is in bud and there's a sprig of lily-of-the-valley that symbolises both innocence and renewal - an eventual return to happiness.
