I travelled to Caithness to stay with my sis for a couple of days. The weather was strangely mild - especially compared to the heavy snow and hazardous driving conditions of the previous week. There were spectacular glowing sunsets with the night sky almost set on fire; a large bright planet then appeared, and next the darkening sky was suddenly peppered with stars. This morning the goldfish in the pond were patrolling, en masse, like an underwater advance of orange submarines. I arrived home a couple of hours ago and watched the highlights of Donald Trump's inauguration.
