Are some lives more valued?

I just don't go with the idea that some people should be more equal than others; or that poor, weak or disenfranchised peoples' lives should be less valued; and therefore, that basic safeguards for them should be cheaper and substandard. I don't agree with that mindset.

For one life to be lost in a tower block fire is appalling but for the figure to be in the hundreds (as has been suggested by survivors)- with many of the victims children - is truly disgusting.

We are governed by people who filter facts for us. We are governed by people who pass blame like a hot potato.

Is this strong and stable?

We live in chaotic times.
