Make it a good one

Just what do I fancy for dinner tonight? What's my favourite? Puddings are easy: I'll happily eat any of them, and maybe even stretch to seconds! But main course?

Maybe a steak (medium) and chips (skinny), with gravy & mushrooms? But I'm not a massive meat fan. Don't know when I last had a steak. Or, maybe I'll make a pork, apricot & barley stew - with a star anise simmering in the barley for just a hint of spice? Mmm.... Or, maybe I'll splash out on an M&S £10 dine-in deal? But I'm allergic to wine, and the fizzy water alternative seems a weak substitute - even if I like the taste of elderflower.

But why all this deliberation spent on food? Well, folks, hold tight to your laptops and moblies 'cos this may, in fact, be our last supper! Apparently it will be the end of the world tomorrow. 23/09/2017. According to soothsayers. It's an auspicious time with an unusual planetary alignment.

So, my advice: think hard about your dinner arrangements tonight. Maybe not a night to try out something new? Stick to your favourites. Tried and tested. You need to be sure to have a good one. Enjoy!
